About Megan

Megan has always had a keen interest in Yoga, Buddhism, philosophy, and spirituality, and decided to pursue these interests more deeply by taking a Hatha Yoga Teacher training course, which she completed in April 2006. After teaching her first Sun Salutations to her class, she knew that teaching was the path she was meant to be on. Teaching has since become her passion-- sharing this interest and understanding with others.

Megan started her practice with Power yoga, but has become a practitioner of many different styles including Hot, Yin, Hatha, and Kundalini; thus making her teaching style a wonderful blend of hard and soft. She currently focuses on teaching Power, Yin, and Hot Yoga throughout the city.

In February of 2008 Megan traveled to India, where she completed another 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher training course with Yogi Vishvektu, a prominent teacher with a Ph.D in Yoga. She continues to study and learn from, not only international teachers, but local teachers as well, and is currently working on completing an 800 hour Yoga Philosophy course with Georg Feuerstein.

Since returning from India, Megan is teaching full time in studio's throughout the city, and served as an ambassador for Lululemon Westboro. She currently offers very popular women's workshops throughout the city, Journey of the Yogini. She recently completed an 800hr. Yoga Philosophy course, and in March is beginning her leadership training with her mentor, Seane Corn, with the Off the Mat, Into the World program, hoping to further ignite social activism in Ottawa and Care Canada's I Am Powerful women's campaign.
