About Maureen

Maureen Fallis, founder and director of Surround Circle Yoga, established her business with an intention to share her love of yoga with a community of like-minded individuals in her neighbourhood - Old Ottawa South.  

After fifteen years of sampling numerous yoga styles, it was Kripalu Yoga that felt like 'home' to Maureen.  She received her certification as a Kripalu Yoga Teacher in 2006.  Continuing her studies, as a way to support her students with specific physical needs, she is currently working toward certification as a Functional Synergy Therapeutic Yoga Teacher.

Maureen demonstrates her experience and expertise in facilitation of small groups, customizing classes, workshops and retreats for people who are stressed, fatigued or simply suffering from what is keeping them from attaining their goals and living their lives pain free.

Private Sessions

Students seek private lessons for various reasons.  These are a few:  to familiarize themselves with yoga before joining a group class, to seek help in dealing with physical issues (such as stress, pain, injury, illness), and others prefer private classes because their time is limited and need the convenience of arranging sessions in a busy schedule.  Lastly, being able to have a yoga class in the privacy of your home/office is also appealing to some.  All are wishes may be granted!

At Surround Circle Yoga, whether therapeutic or introductory private sessions are tailored to what you need.  Please call to discuss arrangements for either: one-on-one, group of 2 (couple), or in small groups.
