About Markus

Markus first discovered yoga in 2005, looking for a fitness complement to intense outdoor activities such as running and climbing. He started practicing Sivananda, Yin, Power/Hot Yoga, and later on decided to explore further Hatha and Ashtanga.

He was simply amazed by the multitude of benefits yoga would bring to his life. Rock climbing, mountaineering, and hiking in remote areas are some of his passions. There is no doubt that the better breathing, the increased mind/body awareness, strength, flexibility, and focus coming with a regular practice help getting to the difficult holds, or steps.

Markus completed a 200 hours intensive Yoga teacher training in early 2009, and added more recently another intensive Yin teacher training. He always brings enthusiasm and humor in the classes, and likes adding a hint of vigorous yet meditative flow in his teaching.
